My summerholidaybegun on July 7th.I love summerholidaybecause I dont have to go to school and I can enjoy myself with my friends.I often spend the mornings doing my I always watch TV in the afternoon at home because its very hot in the evening,I go swimming with my family and then hang out with my friends.I love swimming very much.

我的暑假7月7日開始。我喜歡暑假，因爲我不用去學校，可以和朋友玩。我經常在上午做作業，下午在家看電視，因爲外面很熱。傍晚，我和家人去游泳然後和朋友去逛街。我很喜歡游泳。

My plan for August is travelling.I travel with my family every summerholiday.I like travelling because I can go to different places and meet different times I make good friends during the its very sad to say goodbye to them when the journey ends.

我八月份的計劃是去旅遊。我每個暑假都和家人去旅遊。我喜歡旅遊是因爲我可以去不同的地方認識不同的人。有時候我在旅途中交到了好朋友。旅途結束和他們告別的時候我覺得很難過。

春秋時侯，晉國貴族智伯滅掉了範氏。有人趁機跑到範氏家裏想偷點東西，看見院子裏吊着一口大鐘。鍾是用上等青銅鑄成的，造型和圖案都很精美。小偷心裏高興極了，想把這口精美的大鐘揹回自已家去。

But the bell was too big for him.

可是鍾又大又重，怎麼也挪不動。

When he tried to knock it into pieces with a hammer there was a loud clanging sound. [/en]

他想來想去，只有一個辦法，那就是把鐘敲碎，然後再分別搬回家。小偷找來一把大錘，拼命朝鐘砸去，咣的.一聲巨響，把他嚇了一大跳。

He was afraid that someone will hear the noise and take the bell from him, so he immediatelystopped his own ears.

小偷着慌，心想這下糟了，這種聲不就等於是告訴人們我正在這裏偷鍾嗎?他越聽越害怕，不同自由地抽回雙手，使勁捂住自已的耳朵。

To worry about other people hearing the noise is understandable, but to worry about himself hearing the noise (as if stopping his own ears would prevent other people from hearing) isabsurd.

“咦，鐘聲變小了，聽不見了!”小偷高興起來，“妙極了!把耳朵捂住不住就聽不進鐘聲了嗎!”他立刻找來兩個布團，把耳朵塞住，心想，這下誰也聽不見鐘聲了。於是就放手砸起鍾來，一下一下，鐘聲響亮地傳到很遠的地方。人們聽到鐘聲蜂擁而至把小偷捉住了。

Three pastors in the south were having lunch in a diner. One said, You know, since summer started I’ve been having trouble with bats in my loft(閣樓) and attic at church. I’ve tried everything----noise, spray, cats----nothing seems to scare them away.

Another said, Yes, me too. I’ve got hundreds living in my belfry(鐘樓) and in the attic. I’ve been had the place fumigated(熏製) , and they still won’t go away.

The third said, I baptized(洗禮) all mine, and made them members of the n’t seen one back since!

三個南部的牧師在一家小餐館裏吃午飯。其中的一個說道：“你們知道嗎，自從夏天來臨，我的教堂的閣樓和頂樓就被蝙蝠騷擾，我用盡了一切辦法----噪音、噴霧、貓----似乎什麼都不能把它們趕走。”

另外一位說：“是啊，我也是。在我的鐘樓和閣樓也有好幾百只。我曾經請人把整個地方用煙燻消毒一遍，它們還是趕不走。”

第三個牧師說：“我爲我那裏的所有蝙蝠洗禮，讓它們成爲教會的一員......從此一隻也沒有再回來過。”
