一、元旦的由來

元旦來歷：

在當代，元旦指公元紀年的歲首第一天。自西曆傳入我國以後，元旦一詞便專用於新年，傳統的舊曆年則稱春節。

而在此之前，元旦一直是指農曆歲首第一天的。元是“初”“始”的意思，旦指“日子”，元旦合稱即是“初始的`日子”，也就是一年的第一天。

1949年9月27日，中國人民政治協商會議第一界全體會議決議：“中華人民共和國紀年採用公元紀年法”，即是我們所說的陽曆，爲了區別農曆和 陽曆兩個新年，又鑑於農曆二十四節氣中的“立春”恰在農曆新年的前後，因此便把農曆正月七年級改稱爲“春節”，陽曆一月一日定爲“元旦”，至此，元旦才成爲 全國人民的歡樂節日。
