一天，我宣佈，我將去國外深造之後我的大學教育。我的決定能立即反對我的家人：爲什麼？我爲什麼要借留學一大筆錢，我可能會接受同樣的教育成本相對較低的在家嗎？我的答案是：除了知識，我可以獲得經驗，那些呆在家裏。

首先，經驗是現實生活中使用外語的機會。當一個人在家裏學外語，效果無法用語言的學習與生活中不斷的使用比較。有沒有更好的機會來改善二語能力比生活在母語國家。生活在說英語的國家，如美國和澳大利亞幾年，比如，我的英語爲母語的人將是完美的。

第二，國外生活和學習提供給我一個不同的世界觀。在大學校園裏，外國學生很可能遭遇來自不同國家和地區的同行和接觸到不同的思想和價值觀。這讓我有一個有意義的理解不同的社會中，不可避免地看見我自己的國家，在一個新的`光。

第三，國外的經驗，因爲它可能是令人沮喪和痛苦的，是有幫助的。一個人出國學習經驗更困難往往難以適應新的文化，在處理所有的問題。然而，困難，加上文化撞擊所帶來的挫折，是一種有益的經驗對一個人的人格的未來的生活和發展。

though many students are crazy about going abroad to pursue their higher education, i think studying home is preferable. for one thing, you don’t have to take foreign language tests such as toefl and gre . this can save you a tremendous amount of time, money and effort, allowing much of your energy to be devoted to your academic foals. in addition, if you study home ,you can stay with your family and old friends. meanwhile , while studying home ,you can enjoy the kind of intimate friendship and comfortable family atmosphere which you can only dream of in a foreign university , where you will be accompanied by your own shadow most of the time. for these reasons, pursuing one’s higher education at home is a more realistic and sensible choice.

in a word, i prefer to study home.

There is no consensus of opinions among people as to whether students should study abroad or not. Those people who agree with studying abroad believe that diverse culture backgrounds can broaden students' horizon. Nevertheless, the other people who agree with domestic education argue that our educational programs have been greatly improved during the past decades. They also point out that domestic education is convenient and economical.

As far as I am concerned, the former opinion holds more weight. For one thing, it can strengthen the learners' abilities to understand and communicate with people from other cultures. For another, the developed countries still have a lot advanced knowledge we need to study. For another, a completely new environment with different customs and habits may also be a barrier to overseas students, especially to the young. An added difficulty lies with finance: it can cost a lot to study abroad.

From my point of view, the advantages of studying abroad outweigh its disadvantages. But it is a big decision to go abroad to study and one should take into consideration his financial conditions and his ability to adapt to new surrounding. Personally, I choose to go abroad and study if I find it necessary.
